About Me

Hi, I'm Lael Martinez! I've been playing pickleball for 4 years, with experience ranging from beginners all the way up to 5.0-level players. I love helping players of all levels — from those picking up a paddle for the first time to those looking to sharpen their competitive edge. My coaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on building solid fundamentals while keeping the game fun. I'm happy to travel to lessons, so wherever you play, I can meet you there. Let's work together to take your game to the next level!

Teaching Style

I specialize in helping beginners build a strong foundation while also working with more advanced players on strategy and shot placement. I emphasize proper paddle mechanics, court positioning, and shot selection over just power — teaching players to think a step ahead rather than just react. My lessons typically start with a quick warm-up and skill review, move into focused drills on whatever we're working on that session (dinking, serves, third-shot drops, etc.), and wrap up with live-play scenarios so you can apply what we practiced under real game pressure.
