About Me

I’ve been playing pickleball for 2 years and helping others learn the game for about a year. I play several times a week, both indoors and outdoors, and I also compete in tournaments as an intermediate player.

I’m especially comfortable working with brand-new players, beginners, and players who are ready to move toward intermediate-level play. I love helping people understand the rules, build confidence, improve quickly, and see just how fun this sport can be.

My background as a photography instructor has also shaped the way I teach. For years, I helped people take something that felt complicated, like using a camera, and break it down into simple steps so they could create the results they imagined. I bring that same approach to pickleball: clear guidance, patience, encouragement, and practical steps that help students improve without feeling overwhelmed

Teaching Style

My teaching style is patient, calm, encouraging, and beginner-friendly. I like to figure out the core issue a student is having, whether it’s with technique, confidence, positioning, strategy, or understanding the flow of the game, and help them work through it in a way that feels simple and manageable.

I can teach the basics of the game, serving, dinking, volleys, footwork, court positioning, doubles strategy, shot selection, tournament preparation, and how to feel more confident during open play. I also help students understand how proper gear and equipment can make the game more enjoyable and help them improve faster.

My goal is for every student to feel comfortable, have fun, and leave each lesson feeling like they made real progress.
