About Me

I am a certified professional with the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPRPickleball.org), dedicated to promoting and teaching the exciting sport of pickleball. My journey in this dynamic sport began in 2016, and I have been passionately playing and competing in USA Pickleball sanctioned tournaments ever since.

My Achievements
With a deep commitment to excellence, I have consistently qualified for Nationals every year since I started playing pickleball, with the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are some highlights of my accomplishments:

UTPR Doubles Rating: 4.75

Tournament Success
I am proud to have won multiple gold medals in the prestigious Palm Desert Senior Games:

Men's Doubles: Twice
Mixed Doubles: Once
Additionally, I have been part of four winning teams for the Desert Pickleball League, playing at line one of four doubles teams in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024.

Teaching Experience
Sharing my passion for pickleball, I have taught group lessons and clinics at the historic Smoke Tree Ranch in Palm Springs, California. My goal is to inspire and guide new players to reach their full potential in this fantastic sport.

Tennis Background
Before my pickleball career, I was a highly competitive tennis player with an impressive record:

1982: Won Division II Community Colleges Singles, Doubles, and Team Title for the state of California.
1983: Ranked #16 in Southern California in the Men's Open.
1982: #1 Player for College of the Desert and ranked #1 in the entire conference with a perfect 14-0 record.
1984: Achieved ATP ranking as high as #662 in singles and #457 in doubles, with victories over players ranked in the top 200 in singles and top 50 in doubles worldwide.

Teaching Style

I take each pickleball player where they are. I first want to obtain their goals and objectives in pickleball (ie. recreational fitness and fun or competitive pickleball winning tournaments). Once I understand where the player (athlete) desires to take their pickleball experience, I begin to map out the following: 1) Where are they now. 2) How do we get them their based on their physical, mental, and emotional capabilities.
