About Me

I am a certified IPTPA Level I Pickleball Coach with five years of playing experience and four years of coaching experience. I play 5–6 days a week, continuously refining my skills and knowledge. I find teaching incredibly rewarding, and I appreciate the opportunity to pass along the valuable techniques and strategies I've learned from top players and coaches. I've previously served the community as a pickleball instructor for the City of San Clemente Parks and Recreation department and I also hold a part-time instructor position at Saddleback College, where I teach Landscape Architecture. I am also an Ambassador/Coach for Six Zero Pickleball.

Teaching Style

My first lesson with a new student usually begins with dinking. This is a simple shot that allows me to quickly assess the foundational skills—from movement and footwork to ball control and approach. This initial observation gives me a clear picture of the current level of the student, which helps me guide our lesson plan. While I always ask students what they want to work on and why, I often need to build on some necessary foundational skills first. All skill instruction follows a simple, effective format: explanation, demonstration, and immediate student interaction through practice and repetition.
