We at MyPickleballLessons.com have been operating in Austin, TX for the last two years now, and feel we have adopted many of the city’s best traits; energetic, unconventional with an “up-and-coming” attitude. Though we enjoy Austin’s eccentric side, we take pride in having a cohesive team built on hard work and dedication. As a Capital Factory incubator company, we were named one of the most promising startups in Austin. Having grown from operating in only one metro area (shout out to DC!) to servicing thousands of pickleball enthusiasts nationwide, we are looking to bring on others who are excited about growing along with our company.

As an online marketplace for pickleball lessons, MyPickleballLessons connects vetted pickleball instructors with prospective students. Our coaches rely on us to provide them with a platform to market their teaching skills, while students utilize our website as a one stop shop for pickleball lessons.

The JOB

We are hiring a part time paid intern (20-25 hours/week) who is responsible for educating potential pickleball instructors on the MyPickleballLessons service. This involves outbound calling and helping assist partially submitted pickleball instructors complete the MPL instructor application process.

You will be responsible for helping partially submitted instructors answer questions concerning:

• Whether or not they are required to pay for our service
• What our marketing strategy entails to help them gain new students
• How many new students an instructor can expect
• How payment structure works
• The qualifications necessary to be included on the MyPickleballLessons website

Sometimes a day in the life of a startup can be pretty unique, but you can expect a typical day to include:

• Make outbound calls to warm pickleball instructor leads and follow up accordingly
• Understanding a particular instructors’ teaching situation to determine if they will benefit from MyPickleballLessons’ service
• Explain how to properly complete the instructor application process
• When necessary, taking care of instructor issues/questions during the application process

What we expect from you:

• Have a genuine passion and interest for pickleball. Either former or current competitive pickleball experience preferred
• Be a highly skilled verbal and written communicator
• Be organized when it comes to all unsubmitted instructor applications and warm leads
• Possess self-motivation, tenacity, and confidence when dealing with potential instructors
